Elise Volastro, Professional Trainer
Elise has an extensive background in hunter, jumper, and equitation riding. She has qualified for Nationals for the Medal, the Maclay, hunters and jumpers. While attending the University of Virginia, Elise was the intercollegiate national winner in the open division. Since turning professional, Elise has ridden at a Grand Prix level for prominent stables in Switzerland, Texas, and Massachusetts. Now as Lead trainer of Blythewood Stables, Elise feels she can give each horse and rider the individual attention needed to compete in his or her division. Elise currently trains students of all levels, bringing them to shows locally as well as to the top national ‘A’ circuit shows, including the winter series in Ocala, FL.

Debra Sullivan, Instructor
Debbie and her family recently moved to Stockbridge, MA. Prior to that Debbie worked at a 70-horse stable in Connecticut where she taught riders of all ages (preschool to adult) and levels (beginner to show team). At Blythewood Stables, Deb focuses on preschoolers, beginners and intermediates. Deb specialized in inspiring confidence in new riders. She provides individualized attention to each horse and rider with a positive, encouraging teaching style. When Deb is not teaching she can often be seen riding one of her own horses.
